I am a professional counselor with a full time practice that does fairly well.
I have always wanted my own website as a way to connect further with my clients, disseminate valuable tools and information, and attract clients specific to my passion: trauma.
I've also always wanted to discuss counseling as it relates to foster and adopted children
After reading about SBI!, I realized there might be some extra income availability with monetization

When I used Brainstormit!, trauma got knocked out but three keywords remained:
Counseling Services
Foster Care
PTSD
After going through every section detail by detail of the AG and doing the Niche Choose It, Counseling Services came out on top. Seems right to me but I'd like to get some second opinions. So here are my numbers;

Counseling Services
Supply: 48,381
Demand: > 3000 = 4 keywords
> 1000 = 6 keywords
2000 - 5000 = 2 kw
> 5000 = 2 kw
>500 = 8 kw
>250 = 22 kw
> 100 = 48 kw
Winnable Depth:
Supply 50-100 and Demand > 250 = 3 keywords
Demand > 200 = 5 kw
> 150 = 5 kw
> 100 = 6 kw
Total Keywords for this Site Concept = 768 of which 714 are demand < 100

There are 136 groups of keywords
14 have 5 or 6 keywords in them and they seem related
My overall evaluation per the AG checked out and
there are 48 keywords with Demand in the 100s or higher

Does this seem right to anyone?
Could someone explain to me what those various numbers mean in terms of what I can do with my website? That is likely covered in Days 3 and forward but wanted to get a quick reply if I'm on the right track. Thanks!

Hi Locke,

Welcome to the forums! I think you've got an excellent start. Also, I am touched by your passion for helping those in trauma. I also think that you could go with counseling services and focus on the trauma aspects at first. Once you've built all the pages you list and add to it with trauma topics, you'll have a wonderful site!

I mostly want to jump in here to ask if you've watched the whole Action Guide once? I say that because of your words here:

That is likely covered in Days 3 and forward but wanted to get a quick reply if I'm on the right track.

It can be a great exercise to sit back and watch/read the AG with notebook in hand - just to see the big picture.

After that take each "day" step by step the way you appear to be doing so well.

This was a big help to me in understanding what I could do. Well, getting a tiny glimpse anyway. :D

HI Mary!

Thanks so much for your reply. Not only do I need the encouragement but I appreciate your reminder of the need to overview (at 30,000 feet!) the first 5 days of the AG. When I started in May, I was so excited but overwhelmed with the process that I neglected to do that and even when I attempted to watch the AG, I was stopping after the first segment, not realizing there were often many more segments in the one video section. So, I missed a lot of important information. I've started back at the Intro and will work my way through watching all AG videos through Day 5 to get that overview. Just doing that so far has helped a lot so I really appreciate you mentioning it.
Now, back to work. Take care!

Oh wow, Locke.

I am so glad to be able to help and very glad you posted. It helps to know when I've given a helpful note that it really was helpful....

It also helps to know that someone might quit at the different sections. That's quite a revelation to me.

Can you think what might have helped you not do that? I'd like to be able to remind others in the future. Your feedback already helps - just knowing that there is this possibility is helpful..

Also, if you ever get stuck somewhere, make a note of what you were doing/where you are. It helps when posting to the forums, but also if you see something you think can be made easier for everyone, post to the Wish List forum. We take "wishes" into consideration for updates to the tools and process when we can.

Thanks for posting.

Mary and Deb,

Want to thank both of you for your contributions to my questions. As you both know, going through the process of SBI! can be quite overwhelming just because of the amount and diversity of information covered.

So, what I realized was that I had looked through the checklist of the entire Action Guide but I didn't realize how important it would be to simply watch the Action Guide all the way through. I'm just now getting to Day 6 and I'm amazed at all of the incredibly helpful information, templates, evaluations, etc. that are offered along the way. With that information in mind, when I go back to continuing the AG step by step, I'll have a much better idea of what to expect and how to formulate what I really want out of my site.

Plus, I've always been a big picture person who likes the overview before the details. I just didn't think about doing that specific plan with this Action Guide. So, thank you for the reminder! I'm feeling much better (though at times still overwhelmed) about the process right now.

To your success!
