Hi there, just had a 70% hit in our traffic, no messages in google console, other than creating pages with "AMP" html which have yet to do......

Site has been functioning quite well and getting decent traffic for a while, have recently set up some sales pages on a subdomain, would it matter if these aren't nofollow? do you need SSL on your sales pages?

Where and how do you start the recovery? feels like we're just feeling around in the dark!

Hi Dean, this is so disheartening, for sure. There has been an algorithm lately, which could be an issue. But, without more details, it's impossible to figure it out for sure. Maybe ask for a site review so we can dig deeper.

Things we would need to know; how old is the site? Has it ever had any other algorithm hits? What else did you change recently? Which pages get the most traffic? How many pages does the site have? Etc,etc. Post here; viewforum.php?f=67

It is fine to stay here since this is about researching your traffic stats. Dean, don't worry about AMP; it isn't a ranking factor, and as long as you optimized your images to load quickly, it shouldn't be an issue.

Please provide the exact date you lost traffic, your site URL (we need to research / see the pages and traffic info. Do you have a stats program installed? Which one?
