Hi guys,
I've only ever uploaded youtube videos with an embed code and am struggling with adding my very first mp4 video to my site :?

I uploaded it and can see it in the media files. I also have the url for it. After a little searching I found code that I think should work but obviously I'm missing something (maybe many somethings) because all I get is a blank, black box, no video.

Here's the code I tried to use.... unsuccessfully....
<source src="[Domain Private]/media-files/dog_friendly_travel_mp4.mp4">

Please could someone give me a clue as to how to set this up? Thanks so much.

Found what I needed, thanks again Jacki. Couldn't figure out how to make the video a link but it wasn't essential so I have time to work on that. Note to self: check out Tips N Techniques HQ first in future :oops:

To make it easier for me, I upload my own videos to my Youtube channel then use the embed code. Makes it loads easier for me but I do give up just a tad of my pagespeed to do that (linking to outside resource can slow down page speed).

I like it as it keeps my videos in one place vs. scattered around.

Thanks for the tip Debs. I've just hired a VA to help me get my social media in order (apparently NOT one of my strengths :roll: ) and this is the first video I've ever had of my own. It's a great idea to start a youtube channel, probably something she knows how to do so adding it to the list :D

I am wondering about the same thing, I don;t understand how to put it into a page from the file manager. Could you point me to the article you found that helped? because I can't find it.

You would put the text you want to be clickable in a Text Block in your BB2 page, highlight it, then go to the chain icon for the link. It's under the Link Library, Content Files.
