OMG! I'm thinking I might just leave my recipes as I just can't get this to work. I've checked and rechecked my code with Mike Altons (thankyou btw) but this is what I end up with:

https://au.pinterest.com/pin/530439662353067974/

It's just a rich pin.... nothing else is showing up. The page looks fine... I put the site code in the head for this page and the html code in the content. I give up.

Man.... I'll touch base tomorrow to read this all and get caught up. Last I looked was page 3 and not there's 12 pages, so I have some reading to do.

Hi Michelle.

I'll be waiting till later to do a proper logo. I have travel this month and then school starts. I'll be more busy than I am now....

Hi Holly- You might need to wait a day or so to see the results? I think there was something else that took a while to populate on Pinterest - validation? Nix this if it's already been a few days.

I've not done the other Schemas yet, so I cannot be of much help. Yet. :-)

Ok, I just read through all 12 pages, you are all rock stars! Just saying.

I spent hours this morning looking for Pamela's "no follow' code, I should have read here first. xoxo Told you... rock stars!

Your images are awesome... and making me hungry! I have a new drive to make this work... thanks Cat for sharing your full ingredients recipe schema as that is what I have to do. They are very close, but mine's still not working. Can I ask what your <br /> means?

And Cat, I'd love an invite to your group board...
"Everyone else, if you wish to have an invite as well, just let me know."

But I only have a few recipes up (25+) and I am totally gluten free.

Thanks for sharing your schemas too Gerhild.... so much help here, thankyou. Ok, off to schema sorting!

I GOT IT! 4 days I've devoted to this... thanks Cat for sharing your code... mine was similar.... but it didn't work with some of the code I guess. So now here it is... https://au.pinterest.com/pin/530439662353081238/

And it's on this page - [Domain Private]/migraine-diet-recipes.html

Please let me know if something jumps out at you that's still wrong!!! When I verify the pin (I don't want the date published in there.... should I have it?) But Author, which I do have in, is not appearing.

That's got to be good enough for now. Phew.

Hey everyone,

Is there a list somewhere (I've tried google) of what all the new diets are these days? I know the classics like vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, low carb, low fat, whole food plant based, but I'm not 100% sure what constitutes 'clean eating' 'paleo' 'keto' 'gaps' etc.

Holly, It looks good to me and I see your rich pins.

Hi Holly,
I sent you an invite to my Pinterest Group Board . . . Welcome!

Your rich pin and recipe schema look good, to me. Without actually seeing the HTML code, I'm not sure what I'm missing.

So, to help you out, below you will find the recipe schema HTML code I customized for my website. You can see it in action at this link : http://www.glutenfreehomemade.com/gluten-free-pancake-recipe.html

I created what I call a "recipe card"; it is a reusable container with a border. Inside this container is another container, centered and scaled to 90% to give it some margins on each side. There I placed Raw HTML blocks containing top margins coded as </br>, the coding for Print Friendly and my customized Recipe Schema followed by more Raw HTML blocks containing bottom margins coded as </br>.

Whenever I am ready to post a new recipe, I clone my "Recipe Card", edit the code for my new recipe . . . and away I go!

I hope this helps! :D

Cat, I don't know what to say but a heartfelt thank you. Thank you for sharing that code... I didn't see that anywhere in my days of reading or researching. Plus, as you already know, I spent 4 days trying to get it right for only a small number of pages (but food is my passion). I believe food is medicine so I have other pages without recipes... a whole section on food in fact. Ketogenic, macrobiotic... etc. Not Paleo yet! And a few pages for gluten free and celiac. It's so important for migraines... the link.

I commented everywhere I could on your pancake page. It is AMAZING! So many variations... makes me glad to stay out of that arena - I just don't have that talent. WOW!

Hungry now... going to make breakfast!!!

Thankyou sincerely,
Holly

Sorry guys, I have 2 questions:

1. If we use this recipe schema... that includes all the instructions how do we keep our 400 words without just writing a heap of introduction or something? I don't really want to rewrite every page because my instructions get taken out (of analyze it).
2. I spent a week or more putting my C2 page recipes onto other (proper) file names pages late last year because the C2 bit was causing duplicate content. Now I have to separate them again.OR is there some way to have 2 recipes on one page? Actually there are only 3 pages with 2 recipes, the rest have just one (I think, so far) ... so perhaps I just leave them for now and work on the others.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of work in front of me. I'm just doing my top pages first... and then only 230 more to go!

Thanks in advance,
Holly

Sorry, Pinners, I've been missing in action! But, I'm so glad to see everyone's helping each other.

Stephan: Just let us know when you're ready ... and you're in!

I just have a moment to spare and did a quick read through. Holly: Your pin (scrambled egg one) looks good. Your schema looks like it works. As far as the author bit ... I think that's just for article pins, not recipe pins. Yours shows your name and that's the important one. I'm also adding a screenshot. Not sure if you know that your share buttons are sitting on top of your text. It's not that bad of an overlap, but I found it quite annoying as I wanted to read.

I didn't notice if the instructions are in your schema ...'cause they don't show up on your pin. (Which is good)

As far as Analyze It goes, use it as a guide. A page 'doesn't have to pass it' IF you know why. For example, some of my keywords are in German, yet my URL can't have those extra non-text characters ( think ä or ß ). Analyze It will tell me my keyword is not in my URL even though it really is ('cause it's spelled: ae or ss ... the text variations). That's OK. So, if there are some other issues that you KNOW are OK ... because you know what AnalyzeIt wants, you should be fine. If you have your recipe written down, you could use your word processor to gauge how many words you have.

is there some way to have 2 recipes on one page? Actually there are only 3 pages with 2 recipes, the rest have just one (I think, so far) ... so perhaps I just leave them for now and work on the others.

I've a couple of pages with more than one recipe (such as here: [Domain Private]/german-apple-strudel-recipe.html). For now, I just have done one pin and its matching schema for those pages. To me, the purpose for the schema is for Google to hopefully show the page at the top of the search with its info. So, having just one schema'd recipe on a page serves its purpose. Because, the keyword for that page is what is drawing in the results.

Michelle: I was going to say that I LOVE your new logo ... I THINK I saw one as I was scrolling through the forums quickly last week ... but now I can't find it ... looked on your page and your Pinterest and I don't see it. However, congrats on taking the leap to have it done.

I'm off again for a bit. I'm working on getting my own products (thanks to the continual prodding by Ken to have our own products for better income) and my new online store up and running within the next month. Between that and everything else .... but, then, ... we're doing all this because we really do LOVE it!!!

Blessings ... and have a great weekend,
Gerhild ❤️

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

We have been working on Pinterest and deciding a scheduling program. It is all coming together now.

Our group board is really looking great! SBIer really do make great PINS. Quite a few of all your PINS are coming up in searches when we are scheduling PINS which I think is great. That means our challenge really did make us all better.

Hurray for us!

Fran and Kelly

P.S. We have been canning tomatoes so it will be a couple days before we pop back in. This is the end of them to get our hundred quarts quota.
