By the time mobile (smartphone) growth stabilizes, mobile will drive 40%-50%+ of your visitors! This is a tremendous opportunity to build a strong NEW stream of traffic. To maximize that, present a high-quality, highly usable "mobile" version of your site. Optimize for other mobile-specific issues. This forum discusses all that and, more generally, how to maximize this opportunity to grow your e-business income. Oh yes - tablets covered, too.

I followed SBI instructions to make my uploaded site mobile friendly back in 2011 - there is a thread about the steps I took here:

It worked fine for ages, and was nicely optimized for mobile phones.

Now the site still looks ok on mobile phones UNTIL I click on 'view mobile site' and then it goes crazy. It becomes completely illegible. This function used to work fine and I'm not sure at what point it has stopped working.

I don't understand why this is happening. Do I need to update my mobile.css or mobile.js? Could it be linked to the fact that I recently migrated my site to https?

Or has something just gotten corrupt over the years?

Many thanks for helping,

Hi Laura,

Thank you so much for your help. I contacted SBI support who confirmed that Pagespeed was causing the problem. Once the SBI programmers fixed this problem behind the scenes (it took about two days), the mobile site functions went back to normal and some strange CSS problems fixed themselves as well at the same time.

What a relief! Thank you again,
