Hi Scott. You just have to start at the beginning here. But, as Help Elf has noted, the smart thing at this point is to wait until the tester comes out. It will tell you what you need to change, and the help for it will tell you how to do that.

Thanks Jeff...

It just seems as if this thread is a "continuation" of another. I'll scan through it and get a feel for what's been going on tonight.

Today is my first day off in a long, long time. Hardly had time to eat, take care of myself and my dog and sleep over the past few months. But... during dinner time at least I can work on my site :D .

I've seen your site a few times and learn so much from viewing it as well as other sites from SBI'ers.

Thanks for your help...

Scott & Nimble.

I notice the word "SECURE" has now appeared in my Chrome browser, next to the green padlock. Last week, it was just the green padlock on it's own.

When I switched from BB1 to BB2 I copied and pasted the content, so the in-content internal links on many pages are not tied into the Link Library. Those links won't be automatically switched over to HTTPS when I make the change, will they? For the last few days I've been going through pages, connecting all of those links to the library. Hope it's not been a wasted effort.

Thanks Debs.

But this quote from that exact post is what made me wonder about the links not connected to the library:

Anything that the SBI! database knows about will be converted to HTTPS.

I didn't think links like those I copied and pasted were "known" by the database.

Thanks again,

Everything on a page is in the database, so it is known. The problem with updating outgoing links is we wouldn't know if they will work or not, so those need to be manually checked.

I'm at a complete loss to understand how to deal with this and can only hope that the tester when it comes out will help. What I've seen so far with searches I've done on the subject of switching to https and looking through the various threads on SBI forum in relation to how to do it doesn't help.

I don't use Adsense on either of my sites but have affiliate links on every page (obviously nofollow) leading to a merchant site.

Does anyone know when the tester is coming out?

Forgot to add that I've never used the link library, could never quite get my head round it and so just implemented them without it, partly because it's easy enough to create outgoing and internal links without it.
