@Saul You should not. You should always reference internal links as relative URLs ... file-name.html vs http://yourdomain.com/file-name.html
If you use BB2, use the Link Tool to create links, it will do it correctly for you.
@Heidi - Search Console will be after the switch of your site to https.
Analytics is one you do before. If it has been awhile since you put the code on your site, you will want to get the latest update from Google anyway.
You won't lose data on either of them as the http version should be retained as long as you don't delete it. The https is just seen by them as another domain within the same accounts.
Is the tool for converting our sites to https available yet? No, but could be anytime. Announcement will be made here in the forums when it's ready.
And does anyone know when Google will start showing non-https sites with forms etc. as insecure in Chrome? Oct 17th.

My understanding has been that SBI is taking care of most/all link conversion related to Google Search, Analytics, and the list of other 3rd party services that HE has mentioned earlier in this thread or one of the related ones. Is this being done ONLY for those who use BB2?
No, it is for all SBI! sites.
In other words, are those of us who upload our own HTML on our own for converting the things that will be automatically taken care of for BB2 users? And if that is true, does the HTTPS checker flag everything that needs changing - or only the things that those who use BB2 need to change?
It's for all SBI! sites.
All my best,
