[Update: The converter is now live. See this announcement post... https://forums.sitesell.com/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=224028 Please see this post for what to do for questions about the tasks, but I'll be locking all other HTTPS threads. -- Help Elf]
As you know, Google Chrome v62 is just about here. And that's a good thing! We can all finally move on to more important tasks. You can get back to growing your online business. And the SiteSell Dev team can get back to creating more functionality for you to use in your business. And I can get back to not being grumpy! (It got so bad 10 days ago that the Content team starting calling me Grumpy Elf )
We'll be releasing the HTTPS converter tool later today, or tomorrow. And I promised to give you the post-conversion tasks article before the release, so that you can plan your tasks.
The first part of the article turned into a review/intro of sorts, for those who haven't been keeping up (tsk, tsk!). If you've been following along with my and the boss's announcements and forum posts over the last few months, you can skip the intro, although I recommend reading it. You may find something useful there.
The article currently does not have a link to conversion tool. Once we've released it, I'll be editing the article to add the link, so that those who are late to the party (tsk, tsk!) will know where to go to convert their site to HTTPS.
Post-conversion tasks that I've covered in the article include testing, followed by adding this "new" site to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, verifying ownership and submitting the sitemap. Also discussed is changing things in Google Analytics, if you use it.
Next, I discuss your social media accounts, and making best use of your time.
Last on the list, because of its high work/low reward nature, is asking webmasters who have linked to your site to change the link URL to HTTPS. It's low reward because not many will make the effort. After all, they have their own businesses to run (and may be busy with HTTPS conversion themselves).
I've included some tips to make your request as easy for them to fulfill as possible.
That about covers everything in the article. If you have any questions about the post-conversion tasks, ask them here. Keeping them consolidated in one thread will make it easier for all SBIers to have their questions answered, maybe even without Grumpy Elf having to be involved!
I think that about covers it. Oh, except for the link to the article, I suppose...

You'll hear from me again once the converter is live.
