Dan, I'm chiming in as well.
Yes, it took a bit to get all my ads into reusable blocks and put those blocks in the appropriate pages throughout my 500+ pages. However, I looked upon it as a necessary job ... one I had put off using Adsense, but knowing it would be necessary with Adsense as well, if ever I wanted to make changes, which I knew was necessary. So, it was a win-win, whether I stayed with Ezoic or not.
Now that Adsense has their new 'machine learning' ads as well, one could almost think it's just like Ezoic. But, from what I read, Google decides where to put the ads. It could end up right in the middle of stuff that one didn't want separated. One has no control. At least with Ezoic, I can control where those ads go can go.
Jacki made an interesting comment
(how on earth can the do that without having access to my site??)
I'm not sure how ... but they won't make changes unless one lets them. I guess they 'get in' the same way Google 'gets in'
I let them make changes for my mobile platform, since I wasn't getting as good results there. Now, mobile results are up as well.
There's no way I would have been able to easily figure out how to set Adsense to show differently on different devices and to different people and keep on top of all the changes. Now, I sit back and don't have to think about it.
I was hesitant in the first few months I was using Ezoic, because I was not seeing good results. I hung in, as was suggested, because it's a machine 'learning' process that takes time. AND, I AM GLAD I HUNG ON. It's been about 9 months now and the results are really worth it. Not sure if Adsense would have doubled my income in the last 9 months (perhaps those using just Adsense can chime in if their income has doubled), but that's what's happened with Ezoic in the last 5 months and it's continuing to increase.
I also appreciate the analytics that are available. I can finally see exactly what pages are actually performing well, which ones are bringing in the income, which pages' bounce rates are going down (yeah!), etc. etc.
Thanks, Dan, for your input along my Ezoic journey. Your results and your willingness to share them, kept me going. I agree it may not be for everyone, but I'm glad I took the plunge.
