Is this possible with some Html code? Sometimes I want to change to Squarespace just for this reason. I know content is King but when your audience is woman it's very important to be up to date with the web design styles! Don't get me wrong I love site sell but want to make things much prettier and modern. Can anyone help me with this. I want to put an another colour block in the middle to my page as well as at my footer, and I want no margins showing. I hoping that some simple code would work. Thanks for any help!!

So, which template are you using? There are lots of ways to use the container block, including putting background color in it, and making it fill the content column. Off to see what happens when you put one on a css widened page now.

Okay, I'm back. This is the page I just created which has this code in the Head;

Code: Select all<style type="text/css">

#ContentColumn {
width:100%;
}

#NavColumn {
display:none;
}

</style>

[Domain Private]

This is the Custom Template two column.

Hi Nadine,

Assuming this is for your current template on [Domain Private]...

Add this CSS in Site Designer's Add Custom CSS box...

#PageWrapper .full-width-box {
background-color:#cccccc;
margin:10px -6%;
padding:10px 6%;
text-align:left;
}

Then in BlockBuilder, drag a Container Block to the page. Copy/paste this...

Code: Select allfull-width-box

...into the "CSS Class(es)" field in the toolbar.

Add a Text Block, Headline Block, whatever.

Preview and Build the page.

You can adjust the background color and the "px" numbers in the CSS above to suit.

If you want more styling, just let me know (such as text color, etc).

Also, you can save empty the Container Block as a Reusable Block. Then when you want to use this box, drag a Reusable Block to the page and clone it (click the "Clone Block and Add to Page" button. Then add your Text Blocks, etc.

I hope that helps,
Laura
