Gen...following up on your post about Pinterest. I'm one of those that has had a very hard time getting over the idea that someone can just 'pin'(steal) a picture and assume it's okay. Though I am now seeing traffic coming from it, I still don't have a Pinterest account of my own.
What I have done, instead, is to start adding a graphic as the first image on my page that is 'pin-friendly' (in my mind). The pinner is pinning because they liked something that they want to remember...so I make it easier for them. If the link back to my site is stripped away for any reason, my url is part of the image. I've written the description I wanted for each pin. Finally, I've added the 'pin-it' button to the first image and not the others.
The only thing extra that I'm contemplating is repeating the image at the bottom of the page. A logical action for someone who liked the page would be to pin it to remember it.
