Thank you, Antoinette, you are so sweet! :D

Of course, I am making another request, this time there are only two to add. Usually I wait until there are several, but because they are in Ken's "Make It!" posts I feel they should be added in case people come looking for their meanings.

Solopreneur - Solo/Sole Entrepreneur
P/E - Price-Earnings Ratio

Thanks again, you're "da bomb"!

I found SPF in this thread - Sender Policy Framework (DNS record connected with email servers to help prevent spam).

What does DKIM stand for?

Isn't it a good idea to give the full form of an acronym (once) in a post announcing a release?

Thank you for posting Ramesh.

I, too, wondered what those initials meant at the top of Site Central.

I know this list just keeps growing, but as we use more acronyms, especially when new topics come up, I feel there's a need to add them. Here are the latest ones, mostly related to the Make It! series (step 7c):

AQL - Acceptable Quality Level
FOB - Freight/Free on Board (shipping industry)
Incoterm - International Commerical Term (three-letter trade terms for transportation and delivery of goods)
LC - Letter of Credit
PO - Purchase Order

Antoinette darling, you know what to do. ;) (Please and THANK YOU so much!)

I have some new acronyms to add to this list. I finally went through Ken's Investing series thread and wow, what a load of acronyms it had!

I mostly scanned/skimmed it (I'm not quite ready to get into the nitty-gritty of investing yet, but I plan to thoroughly read those posts in the new year) so I've most likely missed some (there were several that seemed to be for specific companies which I'm not adding) so if anyone sees any I missed please let me know.

Antoinette, you're always such a great moderator to add these to the list on the first post, and this is a big one. So a triple thank you, with lots of honey and cream, for all the time this is going to take!

Here's the latest load:

AC - Asset Classes (related to Investing series)
AUM - Assets Under Management (related to Investing series)
CAGR - Compound Annual Growth Rate (related to Investing series)
CAPTCHA - Completely Automated Public Turning test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (required characters you type in a field to submit a form)
CE - Content Elf
ETF - Exchange-Traded Fund (related to Investing series)
ETN - Exchanged Traded Notes (related to Investing series)
Max DD - Maximum Drawdown (related to Investing series)
MDP - Million Dollar Portfolio (related to Investing series)
MPT - Modern Portfolio Theory (related to Investing series)
NAV - Net Asset Value (related to Investing series)
PF - Portfolio (related to Investing series)
PP - Permanent Portfolio (realted to Investing series)
PPPP - Perfect Passive Permanent Portfolio (related to Investing series)
PSI - Pre-Shipment Inspection (related to product production/ related to Make It! series)
PV - Portfolio Visualizer (related to Investing series)
QC - Quality Control
SYM - Symbol
TOS - Terms of Service (agreement you make with a company or organization to use their services)
USD - United States Dollar
VA - Virtual Assistant
WF - Wealthfront (automated service that builds portfolio; related to Investing series)
WWOW - "What Works On Wall Street" book (related to Investing series)

Also, you can now remove the "waiting for confirmation" part on "VC" as I finally confirmed that it is Venture Capital/Venture Capitalist, but you'll need to add Venture Capital as it currently only has Venture Capitalist.

Thanks so so so much!

Edit: PS, we better add a green elf face  to Smelf so Social Media Elf doesn't get jealous that the other two elves have one.

We're now at over 230 acronyms! Crazy!

*** Been away sailing the high seas and only back now to do the edit. :D Antoinette ***

Hi Rachel,

That's Turing, not Turning, from Alan Turing, a British pioneering computer scientist, mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, mathematical biologist, and marathon and ultra distance runner, the subject of the recent film The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

I didn't know what CAPTCHA meant, but I am familiar with the concept of the Turing Test.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the clarification David, I appreciate that! I must have skimmed over that word and assumed it was the one my mind recognized. LOL

I'll have to check out that movie as I hadn't heard of it.

Antoinette, please change my typo when you add the new acronyms. Thx!
