We have been blessed with the success of our SBI sites using a monetization model that sells services only.
We have resisted selling products (e-books) due to the esoteric nature of the niche we consult in.
However I think it's time to come into the 21st century and try to sell an e-book or something like that, and perhaps promote it with a "canned" pre-recorded webinar.
We sell our "comprehensive cell tower lease and cell site valuation reports" and provide 1 hour of phone consulting for a price point between $2,500 and $7,500, depending on how much work is involved. These are customized reports that we can charge a premium fee for. However, we only sell a dozen or so of these a year. I'd love to sell hundreds or thousands of these without all the bells, whistles and customization, and offer them a much lower price point so we can also generate revenues from outside the USA.
Does anyone sell a premium priced e-book on their site or perhaps do any of you sell by utilizing an on-demand / pre-recorded webinars that promotes your product?
Or are there any SBIers that are webinar and ebook experts who can guide us in creating and integrating this type of monetization tool?
