Hey guys and gals, Michelle here. I am building a new site on organic vegetable garden focused on short season cold climate Northern gardeners.

Still on day 5 and having doubts about the domain name I registered: [Domain Private]

It's short. All the social usernames where available. It's memorable. But it's so cheesy.

Crunchy is slang for someone willing to make lifestyle changes to improve the environment. So it kinda works for organic gardening. But people think crunchy carrots or celery. . . Anyway.

Trent hates it.

And I find myself hesitating when someone asks for my URL in conversation. Because it's so cheesy.

Before I go list it with the SERPs please let me know if it sucks. I'm open to suggestions to replace it with.

Personally, I like it. I didn't know about the slang meaning. To me it evoked freshness. It is memorable too.

But in the end, it is you who have to live with it, and you want something you are proud to mention.

Good luck with the site.

Hi Michelle -

I love it!

As for the "crunchy" part, I instantly thought of "crunchy" just as you intend it.

Cheesy? Not to me. Catchy, memorable, and very brandable? Absolutely!

If you're concerned that people will only think of crunchy veggies like carrots and celery when they see the name, remember - your tag line will further define what CrunchyGarden is all about.

Trent (and others) may disagree. But I think you've hit on a winner! :D

Best Regards,

Hi Michelle

I love it too.

I immediately think of fresh veggies when I read the name.

Don't change it.

Crunchy fresh vegetables, grown yourself. I would say the domain name fits the theme perfectly. I too was unaware of the slang term, but if it were my site I would be happy with the domain name. It will certainly stick in my mind, and when all is said and done, that is what you want to happen. :)

Best Wishes,

Thanks, Everyone.

I think the feeling of pride will grow as the content does. So I'm gonna keep going with this name.
